It has come to my attention that we have been getting recent submissions that are not following protocol and I want to make things clear.

Folks, this is a group about ballgags.

Ballgags are the main focus thus alot and most subject matter are bondage and ballgags.  Alot of people know this and alot of people are submitting these types of pictures which is fine.

Now does that mean that these are the only types of pictures that can be submitted in the group?  Of course not.  We have a folder section specifically for non bondage/ non ballgag pictures....

However...

Take a picture of celebrities or girls in bondage type of poses off of Google images, importing it into MS Paint or Photoshop, taking your mouse and scribbling over the wrist and mouth is not acceptable!

Its not, plain and simple.  Its not even close to be seen as an art piece.

Now we have been getting some photo manipulation pictures.  I personally have no problem with photo manipulation and I don't plain on ruling out against posting them here and I don't plan on arguing about the idea of photo manipulations.  But there is a reason why this is passing and this is the key thing....

Time and Effort.

Folks, anyone....anyone... whether you went to art school or not, anybody can tell when something is half assed.  Some people create works of art under pressing time and some work better with a lot of time.  But time and effort is the key here.

I'm giving people the benefit of the doubt in this group and made it so when you submit an art piece, you understand the rules and you understand what an art piece is.  I personally don't like having an art piece submitted and having 3 people vote in order to have it "pass" to get posted.  This is an art community and art should be shared.

But If I start seeing more of these type of half assed pictures being posted, they will be deleted and the user will be deleted from the group and will not be aloud to join.

You have been warned.  Read the rules.  Plain and simple.

There's more and more plain rubbish in this group. The last seven submissions by ~kidnappouja were just stolen celebrity pics with some MSpainted gags on top.

At the beginning of the month !deltorto did the same.

Can we go back to *real* ball gags ? Please ?

i agree... we need submission control, otherwise what's the point?

Not necessarily. You can also just publish the rules, and exclude people on a three strikes you're out basis, or some such.
Also limiting to three submissions a day, helps a lot to get variety in the *in*-boxes. I wouldn't have been peeved if there had been only three instead of seven.

i think limited submissions is a good idea for all groups - if someone posts 6 pieces to a group all in one go, then even if they are a great artist the members are only going to look at one or two, which defeats the point of submitting them to a group. limiting people to one or two a day makes them actually think about what to submit, and gets them to share their best stuff.

the trouble with three strikes and out is that after the third bombing run by some ms paint idiot, members may have suffered from many pieces of tat before the offender is thrown out... (obviously if combined with a post limit this would bot be such a problem)

deleting pics after the fact doesn't make much difference - they've already been pushed out to member inboxes, and the damage is done. auto-approve submissions are drowning this group in rubbish - we should really change it so that there is some quality control!

Yeah, deltorto's posts are snapshots with digital scribbles on top to suggest ropes and gags. Highly derivative at best, and not in the slightest amusing. Is deltorto a troll, an idiot, or a transmodernist? In any case, he/she/it's an arsehowl.
